Withering Away

One by one
They drop like flies
Until it’s only I
I thought I knew
What you wanted  me to do
But now it’s only I
Who stood the test of time
Is a woman
An island
Can she stand
Without a village.
It’s only I
In this land.
Together
We could have walked
But now we don’t even talk
It should be we
But it’s just me
Together we should’ve walked.
